Cookie Notice
Last updated: October 25, 2026
OnlyLinks uses as few cookies as possible. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies on our site or on creators' pages.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Cookies set by OnlyLinks are first-party, which means only OnlyLinks can read them.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Who gets it | Why | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
better-auth.session_token | Creators who sign in | Keeps you signed in to your dashboard. | Essential | Until you sign out, or 7 days without use |
Other better-auth.* cookies | Creators during sign-in | Short-lived security values used while you sign in or reset a password. | Essential | Minutes to the length of your session |
ol_vid | Anyone who views a creator's page | A random number so each visitor is counted once a day in the creator's totals. Not linked to who you are. | Analytics | 1 year |
ol_ref | Anyone who opens a referral link | Remembers who invited you, so they get credit if you sign up. | Functional | 30 days |
Visitors who view a creator's page get only ol_vid. Creators can't add tracking scripts or pixels to their pages.
Checkout and billing
When you pay, you leave OnlyLinks for Stripe's checkout and billing pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are covered by Stripe's privacy and cookie policies, not this notice.
Analytics
Creators see how many people visit their page and tap their links. ol_vid is what lets us count a person once a day instead of once per refresh. We never store it as-is: we keep a one-way scrambled code made from it, deleted the next day. We don't store IP addresses or browser details for analytics, and nothing is shared with advertisers or other sites. See the Privacy Notice for exactly what's counted.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block ol_vid, pages work exactly the same and your visits just aren't counted. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in, but you can still view pages.
